Hellborne is a cooperative, third-person shooter set in the city of Portland, several weeks after a demonic invasion ravages the city. A group of 12 players work together to prevent the demonic invasion from destroying multiple objectives across the map. Players defend these objectives wave after wave while gaining points when killing demons or finding supply drops in the world, which can used to purchase new weapons and ammo. Each wave brings new and more difficult enemies, and as players loose objectives they must fall back further into the city. Once all objectives are destroyed the players have lost.
