In Decompression, players attempt to retake control of a ship from a rampant AI named TYCHE. Players explore the systemically built ship while trying to gather three key-cards to disable the AI, before it vents the air and suffocates the players.

Decompression was originally built as a cooperative, procedurally generated,fast-paced board game with the intent to simpfly the complex systems of a RPG while retaining player choice and dynamic events.

The Decompression prototype was built on this systemic design to recreate the game-play of the board game, and featured randomized ship layouts, loot drops, global environment changes, and enemy/boss spawns. The prototype was also built with a dynamic 2D lighting engine and a in-game encyclopedia linking to a custom built Wiki site.
